Según los modelos de medición que se han diseñado para conocer el avance o retroceso de los países y regiones, uno de los elementos que son determinantes para la competitividad, se refiere a la infraestructura disponible, su cobertura, sus costos y la<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>accesibilidad en el entorno. Esto implica para mujeres y hombres, contar con los medios para acudir a lugares de trabajo, de estudio, de servicios de salud, etcétera, y lo que es más, para generar condiciones que atraigan inversión que se establezca en sus propias regiones para incrementar su productividad y promover su potencial.
